Here is "Little Miss Easy Breezy".
The boat came in a "kit form" that was truck-shipped to me from the maker, and delivered directly to our shorehouse.
Fred, from "Shellboats"(located in Vermont) roughcuts the boat, builds it, and then takes it apart
and crates it up..
Starting with a jig,I assembled the parts using an epoxy-sawdust mix and screws. I then had
to clearcoat all surfaces with epoxy, and finish it off with 3 coats of marine varnish.
I purchased a jetski lift, and mounted it to our bulkhead. With a sling crafted from heavy galvanized pipe
and some lifting staps, I was ready to sail!
There are no wires holding the mast. I chose this design because of the bridges I have to drive under to
get to the bay. The sail is rolled up on the mast and tied to the deck along with the boom. I motor out to the mouth of the
lagoon. I then drop the mast through a hole in the deck and into a bracket on the hull. After unrolling the sail, I connect
the front of the boom to the mast using two of the sail-ties. The back of the sail has a knotted rope that is placed
into a notch in the back of the boom and fed through the tiller. I drop in the daggerboard , then the rudder,
and motor out into the bay.
All I have to do is raise the motor and I'm off sailing!
