NEVADA -USA
Many people think a desert has to be hot and dry with lots of sand dunes and cactus. Actually, a desert is any dry place where more water is lost through evaporation than is gained from rain or snow. Antarctica and Greenland are extremely dry deserts which are certainly not hot. The Atacama Desert in Chile, one of the driest places on earth, is on the Pacific Coast. In Nevada there are few plants with a lot of barren ground in between. The US Southwestern Desert also supports roadrunners and coyote, Meep meep.
Bud got very hot while we were in Nevada. So did our car, a 1974 Dodge Dart, which overheated.
