Single Shaft High Speed Dispersers – The J-series is used for medium to large batches up to 200 HP. Heavy duty single shaft disperser has a compound drive utilizing one short wide belt and reduction through "V" belts. This disperser is extra rugged to reduce down time. Take advantage of maximum capacity with minimum height and floor space. More dispersion in less time.

All machines are equipped with XP motors, three (3) safety switches, tub holder, 360 degree rotation, tachometer, and clam-shell shaft guard as STANDARD equipment.  2 speed and Inverter Duty motors are available as optional equipment.

Multi-Shaft High Viscosity Dispersers – Dual-shaft dispersers are a well-known machine in the COWLES line. The high speed impeller (up to 5,500 feet per minute tip speed) disperses while the large slow speed open impeller (900 to 1200 feet per minute) keeps the extra viscous products flowing. This unit is available single or dual motors, variable belt transmission system, or variable frequency drives.

The Tri-shaft disperser has added to the high viscosity capability adding a third shaft as an intermediate speed mixer inside the sweep impeller opposite the high speed shaft to provide more intermixing through the batch. This third agitator blade can be configured as a gate blade or auger, but can have other configurations, and is usually provided with three motors.

Slow Speed Bowtie Mixers – Slow speed tank mounted and lift-mounted, mixes heavy-bodied viscous materials, where shear can damage the product.  Vacuum or pressure, 200 to 1,000 gallons, used for blending, tinting, solid suspensions, reactions, extractions.  This design is an industry standard in heavy-bodied mixing.
