Type 1 Cowles-type Standard Blades
– Rugged, efficient design, used in such applications as paint dispersions, paper coatings and ink manufacturing, and
clay processing. Balances high shear dispersion with pumping action.
Type 2 High Vane Blades – Popular in
the mixing and let down of paints and coatings. High pumping action with minimal shear and heat build up
Type 3 Blades – Combination
of high shear with ample batch movement. Works well in high viscosity and high solids content mixes.
Type 4 Blades – Aggressive tooth design works well
on difficult deagglomerate materials, such as ceramics
Type 5 Pick Blades – Unique
design features outward pick fins, with alternating vertical teeth. Used for shredding rubbers, waxes, polymers, and other
soft fibrous materials, that tend to "gum" up on standard blades
Type 6 Rectangular Tooth Blades
– All purpose blade for high speed dispersions. Similar to Type 1 blade, except with rectangular teeth.
Type 7 Blades - High pumping action.
Mixes an entire batch with minimal shear and heat buildup. Popular in the mixing and letdown of coatings.
Type 8 UHMP Poly Blades - Anti-Static
Ultra-High Molecular Polyethylene (UHMP) for aggressive wear characteristics. Used in highly abrasive applications with no
metal contamination. May be turned over for added life and performance.
