2. A regimental coat of 1754 issue (appropriate buttons
and wool may be purchased through the company):
Being of red wool with red facing
Single breasted
Lining of period cloth
Eleven buttons down the front
Three buttons of the same size on the cuff and pocket
flap
The pocket flap may be buttoned down or the buttons placed
under the flap
The cuffs are to be seven inches in length and have a
flared appearance (the flare is formed by adding a minimum
of one and a half inches to the outside of the cuff)
There is to be one button atop each of the three pleats
on the back of the coat
Front and center back pleats of the coat bottom are turned
out by the use of hook-and-eye
Pocket flaps and back pleats should be just below the
belt line (your belt should rest on the buttons on the back)

3. Breeches to be of the 1750-1763 period and
of French or English style fly. Fabric may be linen wool, buckskin
or other period cloth (appropriate buttons and wool may be purchased
through the company)
4. A shirt of the period, either civilian or military style
of appropriate color and fabric (you should have a waistcoat
or or frock over your shirt, so that you are not considered
in undress)
5. A frock of the pull-over style
6. Gaitors of brown color, thigh high or the blanket style
of the eastern indians (appropriate buttons and wool may be
purchased through the company)
7. Shoes or boots of the period or moccasins of eastern indian
styling
8. A stock, cravat or neckerchief
9. Commissioned officers only may have appropriate lace (braid)
applied to the coat. Sergeants and corporals will have a sash
or knot

Accoutrements
of the 1750-1763 Period
Any
other accoutrements may be used provided they are of period
styling and proper material and construction. Questionable
clothing or accessories may be bought before the membership
of Captain William Trent's Company for approval. New members
have one year to meet Trent's authenticity Standards.
