| Bugs behind trans cooler |
The first picture shows the original bug screen behind the grill and was the only screen on the
truck when the above bugs were collected. The second picture shows the addition of a screen in the foot wells of the bumper.

Bug Screen Pattern
Made from 1/8 screen and cut as shown anlong the 4 radius lines. After cutting fold the 2 12in.
sides in to form a half cylinder and then fold the end up to close the cylinder and secure with a tie wrap. Once folded you
can insert in the bumper and it should fill the hole and support itself in place without additional means.

| This uses air and water to blow the bugs out from behind. Note the bend at the end of the wand |
In order to remove the accumulated bugs I have to remove the grill, the upper cowling
over the radiator, the upper radiator brackets. Unbolt the upper brackets on the trans and engine oil coolers. Now you can
seperate the individual coolers enough to get to the back of each cooler. The gun above uses compressed air and water. I have
added a bit of hose and a fromed 3/8in. copper pipe with the tip closed to produce a fan spray. Now just get in there and
spray each cooler from the back until the bugs stop coming out. Keep in mind they died to get there and they are not willing
go give up easily.
