This picture shows the installation of a remote filter adapter. When installing a set of Lube Specialist replacement oil lines greg@lubespecialist.com you will see the advantage of also installing a remote oil filter. This gives some much needed room to work while installing the lines and removes the mess of removing the oil filter as installed by GM over the front driveshaft.

The lines as supplied are just a bit too long but this can be overcome by providing a service loop just before you go up to the oil cooler. The lines were fed through the motor mount to give added clearance from the heat of the exhaust manifold and secured with tywraps to reduce the possibilites of wear points.

The oil filter was mounted back under the driver seat area in a very accessable place. Note the change in the filter number. The remote filter adapter uses a different thread than the GM filter, but no biggie unless you are overstocked with stock filters.
