While surfing the web for other blacksmiths sites I came
across a firetool set similar to this one that was made by an eastern European blacksmith. I just wanted to see if I could
make one close to what he had made . This is what I came up with .
This is a three piece set consisting of a shovel , forge welded poker
and ash rake.
Below are two photos , before and after. Showing just how much
of an improvement a little custom ironwork can bring to your home.
This is a custom built one of a kind deck railing. The customer
left the design up to me. They were very pleased with the result.
Call or e-mail me for custom work for your home.
This coat rack was made as a sample for the Rocky Mountain
Elk Foundation, Boston Chapter
It was sold to another customer and is now in a hunting lodge in Montana.
| Custom made King Size Bed |

, Massachusetts.
Call me if you have a design for your own wrought iron bed.
| Bookcase in the Smithy office |
|
|
I built this bookcase for myself to put in the Smithy office.
After this picture was taken I added pine shelving.
| Custom one of a kind Gate |
|
|
This Custom Garden Gate was made on a whim. It was a piece
I made as a display piece for the 2004 show season. This piece found a home in our yard . If you have an idea for custom work
please contact me.
| New Sign Hanger for Our Home. |
|
|
| Made Nov. 2006 |
Above is a sign hanger for our property.
If you would like one for your your home or business please feel free to contact me.
Below is a similar sign hanger I made and donated to the Naragansette Historical Society in
Templeton, Ma.
This bench was custom built to the customers specs for the enterance hall in a home in Baldwinville,
Mass. This is a place to remove outdoor shoes and boots and put on house shoes.
A co-worker asked if I would make him and his wife a plant stand to hold five potted plants.
He had no specific plan for it other than having a maximum height of 32 inches.
I found some 8 inch ceramic tiles and then placed the arms randomly about the main stem of the
stand.
Below is a photo of a work in progress. This is a double door
gate for the deck on the back of our house. The gate is eight feet wide. It will have more leaves added to it . It will be
left to the weather for a natural rust finish.
And of course we cannot forget fireplace screens.
Custom fit fireplace screens help eliminate the possibility
of hot embers escaping from the fireplace, giving you more peace of mind when you leave the room.
Below is a "porthole end table" Made from a ships
brass and glass porthole , or in this case a "dead light"
In the background is an angel candleholder I made for my wife.
Next is a matched pair of 8 inch tile end tables made upon
request for a customer.
Installed in October 2009. This handrail is a reproduction
of a Shaker style handrail. This one is in the town of Harvard , Massachusetts. It is forged from 1 1/4 inch round solid
bar and anchored with hydraulic cement in 2 1/2 inch diameter by 2 1/2 inch deep holes.
Thats all I have to show on this page for now . There is more
one of a kind works . I just need to get the digital camera out and do a shoot then add the pictures to this page.
Come back soon and see what else pops up here .
