Before we leave Rome, let's take a look at one of the famous Romans of antiquity, from the National Roman Museum in the Palazzo Massimo alle Terme.  Here is the first Roman emperor, Gaius Julius Caesar Octavianus, called Augustus.  This statue shows him at the age of 50 in the robes of the Pontifex Maximus.  This title, held by the emperors, was taken over by the popes.

And finally...

Of course I had to return to the Trevi Fountain and throw a coin into it.  This required fighting my way through the crowds.  But I guess this means I will return to the Eternal City.
