I sent this letter, along with copies of the rebate form and all supporting documentation, to the address on the original rebate form, on October 16:

Dear Sir or Madam:

 

WHAT IS THE STATUS OF THE ATTACHED REBATE?

 

·        I sent the attached rebate on July 15, 2005.

·        According to your automated customer service phone line, it was processed on August 5 (a three week processing time?) and the check was to be sent within eight weeks.

·        According to your RebateStatus.com website (relevant page attached to this letter), the submission was still being processed as of October 15, 2005.

·        I have attempted to slog through your complex “customer service” phone menu to get to a live customer service representative, but gave up trying after being put on hold.

·        I sent an e-mail inquiry about this through your RebateStatus.com website but never received a response.

·        Your check in the amount of $25, received by October 31, 2005, will prevent further action on this matter.
