I sent this letter, along with copies of the rebate form and all supporting documentation, to the address on the original rebate form, on October 16:

Dear Sir or Madam:

 

WHAT IS THE STATUS OF THE ATTACHED REBATE?

 

        I sent the attached rebate on July 15, 2005.

        According to your automated customer service phone line, it was processed on August 5 (a three week processing time?) and the check was to be sent within eight weeks.

        According to your RebateStatus.com website (relevant page attached to this letter), the submission was still being processed as of October 15, 2005.

        I have attempted to slog through your complex “customer service” phone menu to get to a live customer service representative, but gave up trying after being put on hold.

        I sent an e-mail inquiry about this through your RebateStatus.com website but never received a response.

        Your check in the amount of $25, received by October 31, 2005, will prevent further action on this matter.
