Fingerprints Happen Family Daycare

Each child is a special gift from God, and is treated that way.

Home daycare- daycare in a warm home environment

I make use of the space in my house, from living room to kitchen to bedrooms, and my yard, for daycare. Home daycare is not center daycare- so it's not in a separate place, its HOME. Kids enjoy their many daily activities in a familiar home atmosphere.

While no one room in my house is dedicated entirely to daycare, almost the entire house from 4 feet high down is dedicated to daycare.

Lots of fun for all ages. Educational toys and activities, as well as time to just be a kid

For example: Computer toys, legos, k'nex, puzzles, learning games, group games, books books and more books, puppets...

I offer daily preschool activities,reading and phonics instruction, free play opportunity, lots of outdoor play (weather permitting) to burn off all that extra energy, and strive to make each day full of learning opportunities for everyone. Reading is a very big part of every day. We read both provider-chosen books, and kid choices The kids enjoy choices like electronic toys, legos, trains and dolls during free-play time. The day is balanced between structure and freedom.

Special needs children are welcome.

At Fingerprints Happen I strive to encourage each child's individual abilities as well as provide room for them to grow in all areas of learning, utilizing my extensive homeschooling experience and techniques.

Age inclusive program- infants are a welcome part of everything. They take part in reading (often on my lap), are in the room when we do crafts and preschool, either in a bouncy seat, high chair or jumperoo, and all the kids benefit from their presence by being exposed to younger kids who need care and gentleness. The infants have a great opportunity to learn from older kids through immitation and striving to be "like the big kids".
