COLLECTION OF REGULAR TRASH, DISPOSAL OF LARGER HOUSEHOLD ITEMS:

 

REGULAR TRASH COLLECTION:  For All Residences Regular Trash will be collected on Monday, Wednesday and Friday

 

FOR REGULAR TRASH COLLECTION PLEASE PLACE YOUR REGULAR TRASH AT THE CURBSIDE ONLY AFTER 5 P.M. ON THE EVENING PRIOR TO THE COLLECTION DAY.

 

COLLECTION SERVICE FOR BULK AND LARGER HOUSEHOLD ITEMS:  Will be conducted on Monday mornings throughout East Newark.  Pre-Authorization is required for this bulk collection pick up service.  Items are limited to one(1) item per household each collection day, not exceeding either 50 pounds in weight or the size of a 35 gallon trash container.  “White Goods”, such as stoves, washers, dryers, dishwashers and refrigerators/air-conditioners will only be collected on Monday bulk collection days.  All of these items for pick up must be prior authorized by contacting the Office of the Borough Clerk at (973) 481-2902 ext.221 between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. and not later than 12:00 Noon on the Friday prior to the Monday you would like the pick up to be made.

 

It is important to note that any bulk/larger items as above that is left at the curbside without authorization may result in fines or penalties being imposed against the responsible party.

Saturday mornings, items containing FREON such as Air Conditioners, Refrigerators etc., you must call the Borough Hall at 973 481-2902 ext. 221 to schedule pick-ups.

THE PICK-UP SCHEDULE WILL NOT BE IN EFFECT ON HOLIDAYS * OR DURING SNOW REMOVAL.
