This thesis was about the nature of the uncanny and how it relates to contemporary views on architecture.  It was a finalist for the 1999 Penn Thesis Prize, and was displayed at both the FAARM Gallery and the Kroiz Gallery at  the Penn Architectural Archives.

It is a weather station in the middle of tornado alley.  The building anticipates its own destruction.   The subterreanean weather station is located near a gash in the earth cut by a previous tornado.  Above the weather station,  there is a jogging path, speaking to the notion of a threatening apocalypse lingering beneath everyday routine.

This thesis predated 9/11/2001 by two years.
