BIT1 The Guitar

From the first Back In Time Concert, October 31, 2004.

Here are a few of the guitar synthesizers Scott may use.
(Not sure yet what to bring?)

Here is a blast from the past, an Oberheim SEM and 360 systems Slavedriver. This is probably as old as it gets for guitar synths. Cool and even plays what it wants to sometimes.

A step up from the Slavedriver, the self contained Arp Avatar. Featuring the same synth engine as the famous Odyssey and the "Hex Fuzz". Also had a mind of it's own.

4pole.jpg

The Waldorf "Miniworks 4Pole" anaolg filter unit. Nice Moogish filter, MIDI controlled with envelope follower, and can sync nicely to the main step sequencer for wild sounds. It's small size make this the best choice for live use.

pg380mot.jpg

The Casio PG-380 MIDI guitar with built in VZ synth engine, combined with a MOTM modular for filter processing. Awesome combination. This is some heavy guitar synth. The internal synth tracks fast and has a slightly slower MIDI output right from the guitar. Nice!

Ok, right now Scott and I are not sure what Guitar synth setup to bring. Probably just the Waldorf 4Pole using Scott's '73 Gibson Les Paul Custom. The most reliable choice and gets some out of this world synth sounds. Difficult to tell "Is It Synth or Guitar?". Fun Stuff!
