One of the most useful modules to use with the analog sequencer, is the scale quantizer. With this module, the knobs on the seuqencer can be made to step in intervals set by the quantizer. Scales from chromatic to major / minor chords can be selected via the quantizer. Below is the Modcan dual quantizer, and has 48 different scales.

Some sequencers are very small, such as the MiniSequencer by Oberheim. This sequencer was offered as an option to the Oberheim Two-Voice, and features a pair of 8 step sequencers with built in chromatic quantizer.

Another small sequencer is the Technosaurus Cyclodon. A 16 step sequencer in a small footprint.

While newer sequencers as the Dopfer MAQ 16/3 are digital units with sequence memory, modeled to look and act like analog sequencers.
