I. THE WELL OF GOD’S BLESSINGS

A. Blessing defined = Any means of happiness; a gift, benefit or advantage; that which promotes temporal prosperity and welfare,

B. God has a deep well of blessings for us.

1. Proverbs 28:20 A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.

2. Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

C. God’s blessings are twofold – conditional and spiritual. Deut. 28

D. The Gospel message is a deep well of blessing – Rom. 15.29

E. Giving through tithes and offerings are a great well of blessing – Mal. 3.10

II. THE WELL OF GOD’S BIBLE. PROV. 18.4

A. The Bible has the answer to everything that comes our way in life.

1. Anger – Prov. 14.17,29; 15.1,18; 16.32; Psalm 37.8; Eph. 4.31,32

2. Depression – Psalm 37.7; Prov. 15.13; Is. 41.10

3. Direction in life – Prov. 20.24; 3.5,6

4. Disappointments - 1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. Rom. 8.28; Psalm 119.50

5. Family matters – Eph. 5.21-25; 6.1-4; 1 Peter 3.7

6. Thought life – Phil. 4.8; Prov. 16.3

7. Experiencing fear - Psalms 34:4 I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.; 2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.; Hebrews 13:6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

8. In Financial difficulties - Psalms 37:25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.; 1 Tim. 6.10; Matt. 6.19-21; Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

9. For impatience - Psalms 27:14 Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.; Psalms 40:1 <<To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.>> I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.; Rom. 5.3,4; James 1.3,4

10. The loss of loved ones – I Thes. 4.13; John 14.1-3; Psalm 23

12. When we need wisdom - Proverbs 9:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.; James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.;

B. God’s Word is:

1. A fire – Jer. 5.14; 23.29

2. A mirror – James 23-25

3. A seed – Psalm 126.6; Luke 8:11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.; 1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

4. A hammer – Jer. 23.29

5. A lamp – Psalm 119.105; Proverbs 6:23 For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:
