The church was founded in 1981 by Pastor George Tilton after conducting three get-acquainted meetings during June in the Gould Hotel. About 25 people attended.

 

After a short time, George Souhan, owner of the old Souhan Dairy Store, agreed to let the church meet in the old store.

 

Twenty-seven people attended the first service June 21, 1981. After a short time, the church purchased the property that it currently is at. The church met in the garage until they could build an auditorium.

 

In 1990, Pastor Tilton resigned the church and Pastor Terry Fenton was called as the pastor.

 

The church has gone through several building changes in the past several years. A new auditorium was built in 1994. In 1998, we built an education wing for our Sunday school and Christian School. The latest improvement was the paving of  the parking lot in 2004.

 

This church was founded on the Word of God and the God of the Word. It is a blessing to see it continue with the same goals and purposes as it was started.
