ARE YOU SATISFIED IN THE LORD

Preached Sunday AM 8/28/05

DEUT. 8.3,4

INTRO – If you have a problem with complaining, you are not satisfied in the Lord.

If you have a problem with being unthankful, you are not satisfied in the Lord.

If you have a problem being unforgiving, you are not satisfied in the Lord.

If you find yourself not content, you are not satisfied in the Lord.

If you are not happy, you are not satisfied in the Lord.

If you are depressed, you are not satisfied in the Lord.

If you find yourself discouraged a lot, you are not satisfied in the Lord.

If you are not tithing, you are not satisfied in the Lord.

If you are not trusting God for EVERYTHING, you are not satisfied.

If you are not faithful, you are not satisfied in the Lord.

Other signs of being dissatisfied:

Kids leave their parents or rebel against them.

     Husbands and wives separate.

     People quit their jobs.

We look forward to a vacation then,…

We go out to eat, and get hungry again.

We get something new, before long it loses its brightness, and the excitement dwindles.

THE LIST IS ENDLESS.

Proverbs 27:20  Hell and destruction are never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied.

Proverbs 23:5  Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? for riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven.

Ecclesiastes 1:8  All things are full of labour; man cannot utter it: the eye is not satisfied with seeing, nor the ear filled with hearing.

Ecclesiastes 5:10  He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loveth abundance with increase: this is also vanity.

Ecclesiastes 6:7  All the labour of man is for his mouth, and yet the appetite is not filled.

Ezekiel 7:19  They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the LORD: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels: because it is the stumblingblock of their iniquity.
