For the third year in a row FRIENDS FOR LIFE will receive a donation from The HERITAGE OF PRIDE for volunteering to work the Pride Dance at this year's Gay Pride Celebration in New York City.

Nelson Rivera gathered a group of volunteers together and the group worked the Bag Check In for the HOP Volunteers.  While it was not all hard work it was a long day and for the most part everyone had a great day.  Even when the thunderstorm came  through and everyone had to hang onto the tent to keep it from blowing away.

Neslon's band of Merrymen and woman got to meet numerous intersting folks and had the chance to get the FRIENDS FOR LIFE name and message out there.

Down the block at the Street Fair our own Sylvester, along with his friend Carlos were collecting donations and sellings CD's with part of the proceeds going to FFL.

In all is was a great day for the Pride Day organization and for FRIENDS FOR LIFE.

Nelson would like to thank all who pitched in to make this day a beneficial one.  They include volunteers Patti, Maria and Vern, supporters Ron Green and George Alvi, our very own Dexter, Bill Wheeler, Slyvester and Carlos and little ole me, Bill Murray.
