The James T. McLaughlin Training Program in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy,
covers both foundation knowledge and advanced work. The Year 1 course meets weekly for two hours. This course
is available for a maximum of 60 continuing education units, for social workers, physicians, psychologists, and professional
counselors. Content focuses on the following learning objectives:
· To obtain a rich understanding of and appreciation for in-depth psychological
approaches to the mind’s feelings and complexities.
· To study the techniques of multiple psychodynamic and psychoanalytic
theoretical and therapeutic points of view.
· To enhance the psychological-mindedness of participants.
It has been one of
our most popular programs and has been found useful by a variety of clinical professionals. Last year, the program demand
created one of our largest classes. We aim to continue to provide interesting and challenging classes.
