On February 27th, 2007, following two days of intensive training at NCRA's Legislative Boot Camp, DCRA President Adam
D. Miller, RPR, CRI, CSR(DE), and Executive Director Patricia L. Miller, CRI, CPE, spent the day lobbying on Capitol Hill
in support of the Training for Realtime Writers Act, a $100 million authorization bill which will provide grants for training
closed captioners, *CART providers, and realtime judicial reporters.
After very positive meetings with staff from Sen Joseph R. Biden's, Sen. Thomas R. Carper's, and Rep. Michael N. Castle's
offices, Adam, Pat, and the rest of NCRA's Boot Camp participants attended a fundraiser for our biggest supporter in the House
of Representatives, Ron J. Kind (D-WI 3rd).
