I was born on March 1 in Coventry, RI. I am a fire goat by the Chinese Zodiac.

I was a post-doc (visiting professor on the visa) working at Aichi Gakuin School of Dentistry in Nagoya, Japan. My research interest is bacterial genetics. I was studying anaerobic bacteria, P. gingavalis in Dr. Yoshimura's lab.

I'm now working at the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development in Bethesday, MD studying bacterial transcription.

I was born on March 24 in Taipei, Taiwan. I'm a fire dragon (that'll tell you how old I am). I moved to Richardson, TX (a suburb of Dallas) when I was 8 years old. I graduated from UT Austin and Caltech. I have degrees in Microbiology and Biology. Actually, I met Erik in a microbiology lab. Erik and I were married on Oct. 5th, 2002. We packed up and moved to Nagoya, Japan the day after we returned from our honeymoon. In Japan, I was a housewife and hobby website creator. I also helped Kiyomi and Tomoko, two Japanese university students, practice their English twice a week.

I'm now working at the FDA as a research fellow. I've created and maintain several databases for tracking different aspects of biological drug manufacturing.

Hobbies: creating websites, reading, playing the violin

Check out my book reviews on books I read while in Japan.
