founder of TorahAtHome, a support group for Orthodox Home Educators in Montgomery County, Maryland
occasionally participate in AEPi-AK Washington DC Area Alumni events
coach soccer in the HaPoel Soccer Club
serve as Troop Cookie Manager for Girl Scouts Junior Troop 1498
participate in Cub Scout Pack 452 events as a parent and adult partner for Sachy, a Tiger Cub

I grew up in Virginia Beach, Virginia
Attended The Hebrew Academy of Tidewater
Attended Kempsville Junior High School (now called Kempsville Middle School)
Graduated from Kempsville High School
Received a BS in Information and Decision Systems from Carnegie Mellon University
Took a course in the totally on-line Masters Program in Computer Systems Management at the University of Maryland University College (1999)
Joined the Alpha Kappa chapter of the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity
Became a member of Pittsburgh Hillel
Participated in activities at the Pittsburgh Chabad House
lived in Silver Spring, MD from 1990-2002, where I:
- attended Southeast Hebrew Congregation and served as Gabbai of 2 weekly Shabbos minyanim
- served as a member of the Dumont Oaks Community Association Board of Trustees (1997-2002) representing the Maple Ridge townhouses; President (2001)
served as a member of the East County Citizens Advisory Board in Montgomery County (1999)
Had 2 cats while in Silver Spring, MD
- Ginger (joined the family 1991; moved to Norfolk, VA 1999)
- Peppercorn (joined the family 1996; had to leave in 1999)
