Let's Talk Wednesday
There are many ways you can get involved with our organization. . . .

Become a Volunteer Tutor:

After attending a volunteer orientation and successfully completing a tutor training in either basic literacy or ESOL, you will be matched with an adult to work for two hours per week for a minimum of nine to twelve months.  You and your student will arrange to meet at mutually convenient times and places in the community. Many of our tutoring pairs meet in the Worcester Public Library.

Our next orientation is scheduled for Tuesday, October 20th at 6:00pm at the Saxe Room of the Worcester Public Library.  Training starts Tuesday, November 2nd and runs six consecutive Tuesday evenings till December 7th from 6-9pm at the Worcester Public Library.

Once you’re matched with a student, LVGW staff provides ongoing professional support and guidance, and is always available to help you.

Training is FREE. You do not need prior teaching experience, and you do not need to speak another language in order to help an adult learn to read or speak English.

Become an administrative volunteer to help with special projects, general office work and tutor & student services.

If interested in volunteering as either a tutor or administrative volunteer, please send us an email at mail@lvgw.org
