Advocacy Messages to those in Power

A possible set of simple messages to those in power is :

What a weak Olmert and Abbas say is unlikely to be implemented. This will serve neither the U.S. nor Israel well.

Pushing negotiations is counterproductive to U.S. interests and goals. Mahmoud Abbas is not a partner for peace; he has been shown as unable and unwilling to suppress terrorist activities.

Negotiations with the PA will NOT lead to peace but to the establishment of a terrorist state at the border of a weakened Israel.

The US needs a strong Israel in the Middle East. Please work to stop pressure on Israel to negotiate and make concessions.

Some of the US funds going to the PA inevitably fund terrorism. Congress must closely monitor appropriations to the PA.

Jerusalem should not be divided under any circumstances. You protest the idea that Jerusalem might be on the table at Annapolis.

Advice on sending messages

______________________________________________

Change the wording to personalize the message. In each instance ask that the message be conveyed to the appropriate Congressperson (or Congresspersons).

Please! Try to forward your messages to the following key people - if possible, all of them. They all need to hear from us. This is democracy in action. Use your right to address those we give power to as our representatives!
