Margaret Mory de Cagny
Margaret Mory de Cagny is an accomplished art advisor with twenty-five
years experience in the acquisition, appraisal and conservation of private and corporate art collections in Canada, England,
France, Germany, Israel, Japan, Mexico and Switzerland. Artists she has handled include Boudin, Corot, Courbet , Kline, Kokoschka,
Magritte, Monet, Picasso, Renoir and Turner.
Ms. Mory de Cagny is known for focusing on quality and rarity to create
and build some of the finest collections in the United States and overseas. She has an extensive international network in
all areas of the world.
Respected by peers and clients alike, Mory de Cagny has been responsible for the conservation
of large collections of art belonging to many prominent British families. Most of these collections were from the 17th to
the 19th Centuries.
Ms Mory de Cagny lived and worked in France where she was invited by the Cultural Attache to France
to work as an Associate Consultant at the San Carlos School (Bellas Artes) in Mexico City. Ms Mory de Cagny owned an art gallery
in Montreal, Canada, which specialized in 19th and 20th Century French art.
She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from
Froebel College, Surrey, U.K. and completed a three-year course on Art Conservation at the Montague Art Studios in London.
Ms Mory de Cagny currently resides in New York and is a member of the Appraisers Association of America.
