SISTER IMAHKUS OKOFU, was born here in the UNITED
STATES and grew up here but after visiting West Afrika, she and her husband NANA OKOFU REPATRIATED back to Afrika and became DUAL CITIZENS of both the USA and GHANA, where they live in EL MINA on
the “Slave Coast” of Ghana. DUAL CITIZENSHIP for Afrikan people is ARTICLE 10 of
The Program AND POSITION of SOA * SONS OF AFRIKA written by THE MINISTER GENERAL back in 1971 when he was just 21 years
old.
She wrote her new book entitled RETURNING HOME AIN’T EASY
BUT IT SURE IS A BLESSING and while visiting relatives who still
Live in the USA, in the BRONX and others in FLORIDA, she contacted MINISTER GENERAL AHMAD via e mail. She had been a long-time member of MINISTER GENERAL AHMAD’S SOA * SONS OF AFRIKA on line community and decided to send a few copies
of her book to THE MINISTER GENERAL
in BLACK BOSTON.
When THE MINISTER GENERAL received her books,
he immediately contacted her in FLORIDA and as she was heading back up the east coast of the USA to the Bronx, she arranged with THE MINISTER GENERAL to personally come to BLACK BOSTON to meet the man whose work had inspired her and others in GHANA, members
of her family here in the USA and so many people worldwide and to bring more copies of her book which is still not available at book dealers in the
USA as yet.
On Saturday
January 15th, 2005, she arrived in BLACK BOSTON and
stayed at the Best Western Roundhouse hotel in
Roxbury at the advice of MINISTER GENERAL AHMAD. She had inquired about whether or not BLACK BOSTON had a BLACK HOTEL
before coming as she preferred to stay at a BLACK
HOTEL, but SOA * SONS OF AFRIKA had no knowledge of any BLACK
OWNED and/or operated hotels in BOSTON or the USA for that matter
at that time. But after our Sister arrived, she found out that right across the street from the Best Western was a NEWLY BUILT, BLACK-OWNED
and OPERATED HOTEL, The HAMPTON INN and SUITES at BOSTON's CROSSTOWN CENTER, managed by BROTHER PHILLIP TUCKER
and located at 811 Massachusetts Avenue at MELNEA CASS
Boulevard in Boston’s South End.
She informed MINISTER GENERAL AHMAD of this new
BLACK HOTEL the following morning
when MINISTER GENERAL AHMAD and BROTHER KARIM ALI of the SOA * SONS OF AFRIKA MINISTRY OF DEFENSE went to pick her up to bring her to WRBB 104.9 BOSTON FM
RADIO where she spoke briefly with
THE MINISTER GENERAL after his already scheduled interview with Boston City Councilor FELIX ARROYO. She then stayed on for the following show THE FAMILY TREE SHOW where she spoke with MINISTER MALIK AL ARKAM of AFRE ( All For Reparations and Emancipation ) ending up being on that show for the entire two (2) hours.
During her time on WRBB, several listeners who lived nearby came up
To the WRBB Studio to purchase copies of her book and after the show, she
ended up being brought to the home of former Massachusetts State Representative and former mayoral candidate Brother Melvin H. King in the South End, where he opens his home to the community
every Sunday morning for a BRUNCH and to discuss
issues impacting BOSTON and BLACK BOSTON. MEL KING is also a long-time member of the SOA * SONS OF AFRIKA community and was aware of who she was and that she was visiting BLACK BOSTON.
Alas SOA does not
have any more copies of her book but anyone interested in obtaining
a copy should contact SISTER IMAHKUS. You can also contact her by visiting the web site she and
her husband use for their TOUR business ONE AFRICA TOURS. They conduct extensive tours of the SLAVE
DUNGEONS of EL MINA and the GHANA SLAVE COAST.
THE MINISTER GENERAL was so proud to have been
contacted once again by another important figure in the BLACK WORLD such as SEESTAH IMAHKUS. Even SISTER WASET who wrote the book
"THE POWER JOURNAL - Chronicles of a Revolutionary
Black Woman in White America", sent copies of her book to THE MINISTER GENERAL
from LOS ANGELES and BROTHER CHARLES OSIGWE, who is also from GHANA but who lives in LONDON in the UK.
He sent copies of two of his books to THE MINISTER GENERAL, one for which he is engaged currently in a legal battle in the UK as when he went to a TV producer to arrange a film based on one of his books, while waiting, apparently that producer or production company took the theme of his book, changed the setting and characters from AFRIKA and AFRIKANS to INDIA and INDIANS and then put out
a film which Brother Charles is certain was based upon his story and derived from his book. Many Black
authors and educators have sent books and films to THE MINISTER
GENERAL.
In 1993, when South Afrika (Azania) was still Under WHITE SUPREMACY ( Apartheid
) ( and it still is ), the then Islamic Propagation Center International
of Durban was engaged in the monumental task of translating the Glorious Qur’an into ZULU,
which had never been done. In fact, under the rule of WHITE SUPREMISTS (Apartheid) ALL BLACK LANGUAGES and CULTURE was forbidden and faced extinction.
Very few copies of this ZULU QUR’AN
were ever published and only the FIRST FIVE SURAS (chapters). It was indeed a monumental undertaking. After the supposed fall of WHITE SUPREMACY in South Afrika in 1994, and to
this date, SOA has heard nothing
from the IPCI in Durban, but THE MINISTER GENERAL cherishes the ZULU QUR’AN
they sent him as a gift along with videotape of a then recent visit by MUHAMMAD ALI. THE MINISTER GENERAL believes he still perhaps may have the ONLY COPY IN THE UNITED STATES.

Brother OMEKONGO LUHAKA WA DIBINGA is a first generation American
whose family came to America from the Democratic Republic of Congo ( once known as Zaire ). Born and raised in Cambridge, Massachusetts, he now lives in Rockville Maryland, but visits BLACK BOSTON often and performs his SPOKEN-WORD all across the country.
He speaks fluent French and Swahili, as he told MINISTER GENERAL AHMAD
on DRUMBEAT RADIO-NET CAST, SUNDAY JULY 11th, 2004, that his mother insisted that
all her children knew their mother tongue as well as English
( W 'sup Bill Cosby ?).
" PROSELYTIZING PENIS" which deals with the SEX ABUSE SCANDAL of the Catholic
church, spoken to the melodic vocals of a catholic choir singing hymns, and "WELCOME TO THE CONGO", which he wrote after his visit to the homeland of his parents, where he saw the devastation of decades of post-colonial
mis-rule from the days of MOBUTU SESE SEKO to the carnage of today in Eastern DRC in Bunia and the
Ituri region. Even how COLUMBITE-TANTALITE, which revolutionized and made possible advances in cell phone and internet technology, from which none
of AFRIKA has benefited, had been robbed from the suffering people of D R CONGO, as unscrupulous corporate mercenaries took advantage of the fratricide that plagues all of central AFRIKA.
Most of AFRIKA's fratricide was instigated by outside forces, pitting Brother against Brother
in a time when the continent faces a genocide worse than ever in human history.
The MINISTER GENERAL was reporting on this new mineral for 2-3 years only to find
that many in BLACK BOSTON, in America and even some Black leaders who traveled extensively to mother AFRIKA
knew little or nothing about this mineral, whose price jumped in just a few months during 2002
from .08 an ounce to $80.00 an ounce. B ut as it was being STOLEN from illegal mines in central AFRIKA ( like the blue diamonds in the movie CONGO
) ( DR Congo, Rwanda etc ) the price soon fell back down for this important
new mineral, FOUND ONLY IN THIS REGION OF OUR MOTHERLAND and very few other places in the world, like Australia
where most of the worlds COL-TAN is prepared for use in computers, cell phones, in aircraft and in
capacitors. In central Afrika it was ( and probably still is ) being
pilfered by enemies of AFRIKAN people; by USA and
EU corporations that cared little for the welfare and the rights of AFRIKA
or AFRIKANS.

THE MINISTER GENERAL began doing in depth reports on issues
impacting our people from Boston to Bouake
and from Houston to Harare.
News that people of AFRIKAN ascent could scarcely find
reported on traditional media anywhere in the USA. His reports were accurate and from a perspective consistent with our people's
struggle for liberation and self-determination.
People from New Haven, St. Louis and other U.S. cities began calling in to DRUMBEAT RADIO-NET CAST even on SUNDAYS when THE MINISTER
GENERAL was not scheduled to host DRUMBEAT RADIO-NET CAST, just to express their deep appreciation for his work reaching, inspiring and bringing together people all
over America and the world, which he had been doing single-handedly, with hardly
any support from anyone since November of 1992 starting with his writing and distribution
of the pamphlet KNOWLEDGE.
The pamphlet KNOWLEDGE was
written by MINISTER GENERAL AHMAD, distributed on the streets of
BOSTON and mailed all over the USA at
his own expense each month for 8 YEARS, until the summer of 2000,
when expenses to conduct SOA's work, on line, especially puchasing and
leasing computer hardware and software, made it all but impossible to continue the written pamphlet.
KNOWLEDGE addressed issues from the youth violence and fratricide
that was plaguing BOSTON through the 80's and 90's ( until 1995 when it began to decline setting a national precedent ) to
other fronts in our struggle that all AFRIKAN-ascended youth and adults, no matter
what former colonial power enslaved their progenitors, should have a clear understanding of in order live and work in
UNITY and to be prepared for what we must do collectively in this day and time for our advancement
and survival.
KNOWLEDGE talked about issues such as how MIS-EDUCATION
for generations perpatuates our condition. Or what
SOA * SONS OF AFRIKA calls
THE FAKE DRUG WAR in ARTICLE SIX (6)
of its PROGRAM AND POSITION of 1971 and how it was
being used to criminalize an entire generation of our people for decades. One only has to look at the astronomical prison
population explosion of recent years in the USA to see the devastating effects of prolonged policies used toward
white supremist or racist ends. Ends that can never be justified because of the means. So-called LAW.
Sadly, even today, people on the streets of BOSTON still
ask for the written pamphlet KNOWLEDGE. Perhaps someday, with the help and support
of some from among our people, it will be back, making a contribution to the upliftment of our people and making us
all aware of aspects of issues many ordinarily may not have ever given much consideration to.
THE MINISTER GENERAL WAS AND STILL IS A LONE VOICE ON EVENTS AND
ISSUES IMPACTING PEOPLE OF COLOR.
