Peace Pilgrim 100 2-Mile Intergenerational Peace Walk
Peace Pilgrim walked more than 25,000 miles spreading her simple message of peace among nations, groups, individuals
and the very important inner peace - because that's where peace begins.
"Constantly as I walk along the highways and through the cities,
people approach me and I have a chance to talk with them about peace."
Peace Pilgrim

125 walkers participated in the innaugural Peace Pilgrim 100 held on July 19, 2008. The route
took them past several Egg Harbor City historical sites and to the childhood home of Peace Pilgrim. There, Peace Pilgrim's
sister Helene Young, 93, shared stories about their youth. Collectively, the walkers completed 275 miles for peace,
a fraction of the 25,000 miles that Peace Pilgrim completed before she stopped counting the miles. Peace Pilgrim averaged
20 miles a day while she was on her pilgrimage for peace.
