B

Believe Jesus is God's Son who died for your sins. (John 3:16)

Leading a Child to Christ

First you must pray that the Holy Spirit will guide you in leading children to Christ Jesus. Follow these simple steps with a young person when talking about becoming a Christian.

Tell them:

1. God loves you and wants you to become a member of His Family. (1John 4:9)

2. We all have done wrong things. God calls this sin. (Romans 3:23) All sin must be punished. (Romans 6:23)

3. Jesus Died on the cross and took the punishment for our sins. (1Peter 2:24)

Do you feel sorry for your sins?

Do you believe Jesus is God's Son?

Do you believe Jesus died for your sins?

If you answered yes to all the Questions, then God forgives you and has given you the gift of eternal life. (John 1:12; John 3:16)

This Is A Soul!!!!!

This Is A Stick Up!

JESUS IS OUR EXAMPLE

This Is A Soul!!!!!

By Lyndell Taylor

King's Kids Children's Ministry

The Object of this lesson is to teach children the reality of being lost for eternaty.

Materials needed: A glass, ceramic or fragil plate and a sign the same size with the word SOUL printed on it.

Paste or tape the sign to the plate.

To begin lesson show the childen the plate. Ask the children, what does the sign say? What is a soul? Then say;

Every one of us has a soul. Our soul was created by God. Our soul is eternal. That means it last forever. Each one of us are inportant to God. That is why God made it possible for us to live with Him forever. He gave His only Son Jesus Christ to die for our sins on the old rugged cross. There are many people who don't know Jesus and if we don't tell them about His good news, then they may never know until it's to late. Don't let that soul slip though your hands.

Let the plate slip through your hand. As the plate hits the floor it should shatter.

HINT:If have a carpeted floor. Have a brick or something hard for the plate to strike.

Seeing the plate shatter will get the children's attention fast. This plate is destroyed. IT no longer can be used to hold food. It is lost forever. Don't let some one's soul slip though your hands. Don't slip into eternity without God and into eternal darkness. Tell them Jesus Loves Them.

ALTER CALL

Prayer for God to help you always Love other and tell them about the good news of Jesus Christ.

This Is A Stick Up!!!!!

By Lyndell Taylor

King's Kids Children's Ministry

The Object of this lesson is to teach children about giving.

Materials needed: A toy pistol, Bandanna and a western stile hat.

To begin lesson take up the offering in the normal manner. Then after offering is collected have a volunteer enter in dressed in the stile off a western outlaw. Have him say to you and your usher;

Outlaw - "this is a hold up, give me all your money.

Leader - "this is God's money, you can't rob God".

Outlaw - "What do you mean God's money? Why would God need money?"

Leader - "This money was given to the Church. We give a portion of what we have to the church to take care of needs that the Church has. This money goes to buy supplies, Bible and Books, to feed and clothe poor children, etc... If you take this money you are robbing GOD!

Outlaw - "Oh, I ah... I don't want to rob God! Later Dude!"

Outlaw runs out of room.

Leader - "Boys and girls, God has commanded us to support the church by giving a portion of what we have. When we take our offering money and use it for something else, we are robbing GOD! And I don't think any one wants to do that. Not even a robber!"

JESUS IS OUR EXAMPLE

I use an old card trick called "DO HAS I DO" to illustrate why we need to follow Jesus' example. For the Lesson you need to have two decks of cards.

The card trick goes like this:

Call a child up front and give him or her a deck of cards.

Ask the child to do exactly as you do.

First shuffle the cards.

Trade decks and shuffle again. (As you shuffle remember the bottom card).

Trade decks again.

Next each of you choose a card from your own deck.

Ask the child to remember the card they have chosen and tell him you will remember the card you have chosen.

Next place the card on the top of the deck.

(You don't have to remember the card yourself. This is just a misdirection.)

Cut your deck once and ask the child to do the same.

Now trade Decks once more.

Tell the children that you are going to look through the deck to find the card you have chosen for your self. Ask the child to do the same.

THE TRICK

Look at the cards face up. You will choose the card behind the card which you noticed was on the bottom of the deck. Display your card and ask the child to do the same. To every ones surprise, they are the same card.

If we follow the example Jesus lived and "DO HAS HE DID", if we pray every day and ask God's Guidance and study His word (the Bible), then we will be in the will of God. The good things that God has chosen for us will be ours. Then the decisions we make will be ones God would have us to make.

 Apostles' Creed

I believe in God, the Father almighty,

creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, God's only Son, our Lord,

who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,

born of the Virgin Mary,

suffered under Pontius Pilate,

was crucified, died, and was buried;

he descended to the dead.

On the third day he rose again;

he ascended into heaven,

he is seated at the right hand of the Father,

and he will come again to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,

the holy *universal church,

the communion of saints,

the forgiveness of sins,

the resurrection of the body,

and the life everlasting. AMEN.

Rebus

Rebus is the art of using pictures to form phrases. (You may recall the old TV game show called Classic Concentration, which used a similar principle.) It's an excellent way to teach scripture memorization. The puzzles are educational and entertaining as well. One may use the Letter 'F' + a picture of an 'ear' to represent the word 'fear.' Or maybe a pair of ants to represent the word 'parents.' (see the examples below)

You can use clip art, Magazines and any other source of pictures to build your scripture rebus. The ways are as limitless as your imagination!

Or Order your copy of "The Power of Rebus" today by emailing The King's Kids and asking for information on "The Power of Rebus a collection of scripture rebus you can use to teach 100s of scriptures in a fun and exciting way.
