1931 Holton "hatbox" Horn in F

This is a Holton Collegiate "hatbox" Mellophone made in 1930.   Like the Holton "hatbox" horn, the bell and the mouthpipe are removable for storage in the circular case.  Optional tuning slide extensions enable the mellophone to play in F, Eb or D.  Each valve slide is scribed to give the player a handy reference how far to adjust the slides.

This horn came from Desoto, Kansas.
