I've been "artsy-fartsy" as far back as I can remember. My grandmother
helped me sew my first pillow when I was four years old. My entire family is not only great with their hands but wonderfully
entrepreneurial. My Mom - aka McGuyver - can make and fix almost anything mostly without instructions. My Dad has
an incredible mind for mechanics and making the most complicated process seems like a cakewalk. And my grandmother
can sew the most beautiful clothes without even thinking about using a pattern. It is from
these influences that I draw my Sassy Satchel inspiration.
I lost the art of knitting for over 20 years until a dear friend unknowingly helped me rekindle my
passion in 2003. It all quickly came back to me and I began to surf the internet to feed my desire to learn more about
knitting stitches, techniques and project ideas. I don't enjoy reading patterns so after figuring out the basics and
learning from others mistakes, I began to dabble in the mysterious world of felting. I'm truly addicted! Nothing
can top the joy that you feel when you complete a felted project.
