Having visited Antarctica at the height of their "summer", everything was in "bloom". While there is little vegetation
compared to the Arctic, for example, there are many hardy plants with short lifespans that bring fabulous colors
to the Antarctic landscape. This is an example of a type of lichen that had an almost neon green tint to it.
