1962 - 2008

It is with deepest sadness that we announce the passing of our director, Karen Lucas. Her love of music and the compassion she felt for others was truly a gift that she shared with us all. The many hundreds of children who have learned to play a musical instrument under her tutelage will be all the better human beings for having experienced her sense of humanity.

She brought a renewed sense of spirit and adventure to the podium of our community band. We will miss her...

The Seneca Falls Community Band is a not-for-profit community organization dedicated to providing a wholesome form of musical entertainment for our performers and our audiences .

Thanks to Bob Ellis Photography for many of our photos.

Originating in 1985, the Seneca Falls Community Band was founded by the Kirk-Casey American Legion Post #366 of Seneca Falls, to encourage community spirit through participation in a community concert band. The band would perform for civic festivities to increase community spirit and pride, visibility, increase membership participation, and audience satisfaction.

We'll use this site to provide information about the Seneca Falls Community Band and explain what we have to offer. We hope to highlight the most important features of our organization.
