This lovely small ski area located in central
Connecticut actually greeted me long before I arrived – the voicemail greeting by the area manager Gary early that morning,
received the Odyssey’s “most enthusiastic recorded snow conditions report” award. His voice was upbeat, welcoming without being too salesy - Gary’s greeting made me want to drive
right down to take in a few runs and of course visit the bar after the ski day. This
was also the first ski area where I actually met the owner Ken – he overheard me giving my name to the ticket counter
and jumped right in with a warm greeting. Thanks Ken for your welcome
A youthful crowd with
lots of snowboards on the slope and a number of gaming machines in the lodge. A
great place to bring your family to get into the skiing motion or to let your child take a few runs.
