| Byron and Al with their new sign - look'in good guys! |
Byron, the owner of Jefferson, actually started
the T-bar on a closed day so that I could get my 50 turns in on its graceful slopes – thanks very much Byron. Even on a day when it was closed, the trail that I took, Cedar Run, presented soft conditions and a lovely
view over the otherwise flat Central Maine landscape. Jefferson is right up there
with the other top small-mountain-cozy-lodges (especially the old wood stove at one end) and I certainly got a very warm reception
from Byron and the staff he had on site for the day. How could I have missed
this mountain during my upbringing in nearby Bangor – what a gem.
Hey – a word to
all the owners of the mountains I visited, especially the mid and small ones, - remember that you can now buy electricity
directly from a retailer and, depending on the season, maybe able to save a few bucks.
Call me and let me know if I can help.
