Blue skies over Blue Hill - thanks Chad!

Chad, the manager of Blue Hills has skiing in the blood - literally, he is the son of Patty and Max who own and operate Yawgoo Valley Ski Area in Rhode Island that I skied some time ago.  What a fine area and, according to Chad, it is the only ski area available by a metropolitan public transportation.  Literally you can hop on the Red Line at South Station in downtown Boston and work your way to the Mattapan Station  subway station where you can transfer to a local bus right up to the ski area – someday I will actually do that – take public transportation from my home in the burbs of Boston right up to Blue Hill.

A couple of great runs under the night lights – this was the last of the “local sweep” of the Boston areas before they all closed for the season.  And I just made it – all of them, Bradford, Nashoba, Ward and now Blue Hill were closing within one or two weekends.
