Jimmy has a great hat...and a strong opinion on everything!

Oh boy was that water slide at the base of one of the slopes tempting….I really wanted to take my skis off and slide down in my snowsuit BUT we just got a photo at the top instead.  It was warm and foggy with the snow a bit slushy (as it was everywhere).  We had an extended conversation with James the less-than-busy lift attendant – we heard many a tale about his skiing all over New England.  James thought that we should ski one full day at each area instead of our several a day approach – he was very stubborn in holding this opinion through our debate – yet another trait of many New Englanders.  I agree James that we might get to know the areas a bit better but it would have been very difficult to fit 50 days into one winter and fulfill all my other obligations – maybe in another decade.

Geordie and I had a few great runs, I grabbed a sew-on patch at the ski shop and we were off to our next peak.  But not before we lost his favorite ski gloves, the old ones he had for years and were nearly worn through.  This was a sad moment – Geordie was very attached to these gloves.  We searched all over the parking lot, along the road and in the lost in found but no gloves….we wish whomever found them a few more great years of skiing like the ones Geo had.
