| It's guys like these that keep the mountain humming - thanks Bruce, Sandy and John! |
This last group of ski areas I was accompanied
by my wife Holly – she had been very patient with what turned out to be 23 separate days of skiing, endless planning
and even more discussion – thanks very much Hol. A night at the Woodstock
Inn gave me a pretty decent rest for the first of my last two days on the slope.
Suicide Six was a small little mountain
very near Woodstock. I got my first taste of its friendliness when the manager
Bruce agreed to have our picture taken in the kitchen – he was very accommodating.
I was served further welcoming by three charming ski patrol ladies (see photo), nicknamed Boo Boo, Sari and Miss J.
– these ladies seemed to really enjoy each others company and were so excited by my ski trek – thanks you three
for your warm smiles and laughter. And still later the welcome continued with
a more subdued but no less friendly conversation with Bruce, Sandy and John (see photo by chairlift).
Oh yea, the skiing was fun too – gentle slopes, well groomed
and a clear cool day.
