devices, recycling, lighting, environmental sensors, EH&S and chemical incident response software, renewable energy, filtration, vehicle
service, and batteries.
Evaluating and Entering Emerging Markets
We have helped clients evaluate and penetrate new markets in Eastern Europe, Asia, and Latin America.
Work included market quantification, entry strategy, strategic alliances, and needs assessments. In 1990-91, we spearheaded
client's efforts to evaluate and enter the Polish, Czech, and Hungarian markets for vehicle emission test systems; client
won >80% market share by 1996.

Development and Due Diligence Preparation
Assisted start-up clients (both independent and corporate) from the early- stage ideation through preparation
for outside capital and finding investors or acquirers. This often included training and assistance with strategy, business
plans, investor presentations, financial modeling, and the due diligence package. Select clients also receive investor
screening, introduction, promotion, and communications assistance. We have
also helped corporate clients improve their innovation and product/new venture development processes in numerous industries.

Worked with strategic and Angel investors to evaluate A and B-round venture investments.
The Project included evaluating: technology, OEM needs, market segmentation, applications/markets for licensing, feasibility
studies, competitors, market and product development.
New Product/Market Entry for Intelligent Transportation Systems
We assisted a client portfolio company to evaluate and enter the automated weather forecasting and anti-icing
system markets (for surface transport). This included concept development, extensive research and analysis of key technologies,
core competencies, competitors, customer needs, DOT programs and due diligence for acquisitions of competitors. Business development
work included strategy development, relationship building with key suppliers, influentials, and customers; evaluating RFP;
and recruitment. In 3 years, this business grew, organically, from zero to 15-20% of client's base sales and profits.
Strategy for Weather & Environmental Systems Manufacturer
On behalf of a private equity firm, we helped a firm re-align its business
to reflect market conditions and new opportunities.
This included in-depth quantitative and qualitative analyses of market segments,
user needs, buying behavior, core competencies, segment margins, product development, strategic partners, and potential new
markets. As a result, the firm refocused its strategy and resources on new and more attractive markets where it could compete
profitably.
Application Search and Market Evaluation for Key Technologies
We have helped strategic investors and companies evaluate
and develop new product and market applications for their existing (or licensable) technologies and bi-products. This covered
a variety of, fluid, sensor, materials, and software technologies that resulted in products for winter road safety, low-emission
dry-cleaning, distance education, and medical device reprocessing/sterilization.
