Doula Services: Benefits of a Doula:

Before the Birth

I will meet with you and your partner to help prepare for your childbirth. We will discuss your labor preferences, your birth plan and we will address any questions and concerns you have. I provide unlimited phone and e-mail support up until your birth day.

During Labor

I will stay by your side providing emotional, physical and informational support for you and your partner. I will help with practical coping techniques such as breathing, massage and visualizations. I will suggest positions that will help the baby to descend and keep you more comfortable. And I will help you advocate for your birth.

After the Birth

I will remain with you after the birth to help establish a satisfying breastfeeding relationship with your baby. I will come to your home in the first week to review your birth experience, answer new questions and offer resources when needed.

Doula is a Greek word meaning "woman servant". Doulas are also known as Professional Labor Assistants. As a certified Birth Doula I have specialized knowledge and experience with labor and childbirth. I am hired by individuals-not hospitals, to provide continuous physical, emotional and informational support before, during and immediatly after the birth of your baby.
