The cost of a new playground is more than one might expect.
The estimated cost of replacing a structure the size of Endicott Parks, is approximately $225,000.
Currently we have raised over $80,000 through
the help of dozens of kind people (please see your name on our contribution list). These include friends, family, co-workers,
clientele, business owners, hospitals and medical staff who worked with Shiyanne and a number of people who have heard our
story either through one of these sources or in the newspaper and felt compelled to help in some way.
Recently, the town of Danvers took a vote to help support this project by appropriating $75,000
to the rebuilding of Endicott Parks Playground. What a wonderful show of support this is, and we would like to thank
the Town of Danvers whole heartedly for this effort.
This number now boosts the funds raised to $155,000. Our personal goal has always been to donate enough money to this project to deem it worthy of naming after Shiyanne.
And with so much raised thus far, we are well on our way!

Cakes for Occasions has offered to help out with fundraising. A dedicated source of community support, Kelley Delaney
has worked with Shiyanne's Memorial Fund time and time again.
As part of her Cakes for Caring Program, Kelley has chosen to support 1 local charitable cause
every month for each of the 12 months of her celebratory 10th year anniversary as part of the Downtown Business District here
in Danvers.
Having supported HAWK, NSMC Cancer Walk, North Shore ARC, Alzheimer's Memory Walk, Strides
Against Breast Cancer and more, she will now be supporting Shiyanne's Memorial Fund during the month of March.
When you purchase one of her yummy cupcake treats especially made in Shiyanne's honor $1 will be donated to the memorial fund.
Please stop by her totally nut free baker located at 57 Maple St in downtown Danvers for some of her award winning cakes
and yummy treats.

Business Helps Out!
Sensitech, a local company out of Beverly, has generously offered to conduct an employee raffle in support of the
Shiyanne Memorial Fund. The fund was chosen by popular vote at their St Patty's Day Breakfast. With more than
200 employees who can choose to participate, they will be raffling off tickets to 2 Red Soxs games and donating the proceeds
to our fundraising efforts.
A big Thank You is sent to all who voted to support our cause and all those who will be buying those raffle tickets!
GO RED SOX!!!
Shiyanne's Princess Tea Party
We are very excited about this fundraiser as it is something that Shiyanne would have wanted to go to. She was
always having tea parties, so in her honor we will celebrate with some of her favorite things.
The fun will start during the annual Danvers Family Festival Endicott Park Day. This year it will be held
on June 20, 2009 from 11-2pm.
The day begins at noon with the Fireman's Muster, a messy but enjoyable event. After that we encourage all
the young ladies to dress up and attend the Doll Carriage Parade, then make their way to our tea party.
Those who attend will enjoy Iced Tea and Lemonade served in a variety of festive tea pots by Shiyanne's
family. There will be Tea Sandwiches and Mini-Cakes for mini hands as well as a variety of other
snacks. Stories will be told on the half hour 11:30, 12:30 & 1:30.
To help raise money we will raffle off a variety of donated items such as Tea Sets, a Build-a-Bear
of your choice, a Princess Tiara, a girls Bicycle and much, much more.
Last year there was a wonderful turnout and those who made it had a wonderful time. With everyone's help we raised
over $1600 since our first Tea Party!! This is an annual event so if you couldn't make it last
year we hope to see you this year!!
Schools Helping Out
Some local schools are helping to raise money in Shiyanne's name for Endicott Parks playground. We are incredibly
grateful for their willingness to help out and we would like to acklowldge their efforts here.
Great Oak and Riverside schools have just completed a Coin Drive that ran
from Jan 22 - Feb 9. Between the two schools they raised a total of over $2400!! The
kids were so anxious to add their coins into their containers, jingling lunch bags full of change. Domino's Pizza of
Danvers has donated 2 Pizza Parties. One to the class at each school that raised the most money. The winning classes
are Mrs. Tracy at Great Oak and Mrs. Fitzgerald at Riverside. Congratulations guys
and enjoy your pizza!!
Holten-Richmond Middle School held a dance and staff jeans day which allowed staff to wear jeans to
school...for a price!! Their efforts raised $1115!! Great Job guys!!
Smith school has offered to donate the proceeds from their annual Walk-a-Thon to Shiyanne's Memorial
fund. Joy will be on hand that day to root them on!! (date TBA)
Highlands school will also be doing a Coin Drive at a later date. (TBA)
