In the News-
June 20, 2008:
I have started a page for the upcoming race at NHMS in July. There is a planned BBQ on Saturday night. Many people attending
will be 'newbies' at this event. So this page should help the 'newbies' with what they need to know, and a sign up for everyone
attending.

I made it down to Bree & Brian's in Richmond Hill GA yesterday. It was
just under 1100 miles from work to here. Total drive time was around 18 hours. The truck averaged about 12 MPG which is nice
since that's what I got normally driving around home this Winter. I'm leaving here in a few minutes to drop the racecar
off at Roebling.
It's in the 80s here and will be throughout the weekend!! Imagine, just 2 weeks ago we were freezing
our ARSES off at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
I do have Denise's in-car edited and ready, but I'm having issues getting it uploaded to Google
Video.

I took a ride up to NHMS today to see how much snow was left. I was assured that the track would
be open for the SCCA weekend (that starts Thursday).
I also received an email letting me know that I will have passes given to me at registration Thursday
night. Anyone pass that I leave at registration MUST have a name attached. So if you are planning on joining me, let me know
ASAP. I'll be leaving for the track from work Thursday, so Wednesday will be the last time I'll see my computer until Sunday
night.
Thursday night - Saturday is a race school. I'll be crewing and taking pictures.
Sunday I am racing.

| race pass update |
Well I emailed the Club Racing Chair and my reply was
as follows:
"Yes, the passes will be available at registration.
Serge"
So ,
as I see it, if you want to come up to New Hampshire Motorsports Speedway in Loudon to watch some SCCA Club Racing, show up
at the registration hours (listed below) and ask for them. I will let the people at registration know that I have invited
many people to come check us out. At worst, it might cost $10/person (that's over crew costs), but the club is pretty cool
about getting you 'newbies' to the track.
REGISTRATION HOURS: 4/10 Thursday 6:00 pm –
7:30 pm 4/11 Friday 7:00 am – 9:00 am 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm 4/12 Saturday 7:00 am - 9:00 am 5:30 pm –7:30
pm 4/13 Sunday 7:00 am - 9:00 am
Outside of those hours you will be subject to the track entry fee of $20 (or
$25).
I will be arriving at the track Thursday night and staying at the track until Sunday
afternoon.
Tuesday I will be driving by the track to see if the snow has melted yet.
See you at the track, Buddy |

I went to pre-season tech today. Two inches of snow frozen solid on the racecar. A half hour down the road from home
there wasn't any snow on the ground (my house was just inside the snow line area). The car did get some looks.
Well the tech went as predicted. The ol' EGT needs a windshield put in before the race in 2 weeks. IF
we race in 2 weeks. As it stands, NHMS (formerly NHIS) cancelled events up to this point because of snow (they just got 4
- 6" yesterday :-( ). If the SCCA event is cancelled, the talk is that the school will be held on the Pig Roast weekend in
July, and the Aug race turned into a double regional.
There were no passes at the tech event, but I do have an email out asking about them. So stay tuned. Also stay tuned
to here to see IF the race is still on in 2 weeks.
March 28, 2008
Tomorrow I bring the Scrat to Shine Racing in Walpole Mass for a pre-season tech. Hopefully they
have some passes too. If so, I should have them posted here by mid week.
The 1st NER Club Race is only 2 weeks away at New Hampshire Motorsports Speedway (I'll wonder
if I'll get used to calling it NHMS?), but Mother Nature dumped a few more inches of snow on the track today.
In 4 weeks I'll be in Savanna GA racing at Roeblong Road!!
Jan 1,2008:
HAPPY NEW RACE YEAR to all who read this (and to those who don't)!!!
The NE Divsion SCCA has released it's 2008 schedule. I now have a solid planned Club Race schedule.
So take a spin over to my schedule page and start making your plans to join me.
Dec 23, 2007,
I would like to take this moment to wish all my friends, crew and visitors a Merry Christmas
(may Santa bring you some cool stuff) and a safe and Happy New Year.
Another race season has come and gone, and my race reports have been lax.
I do have a year ending report in the works, and hope to have it posted soon.
I already have a little bit of a schedule for 2008:
Jan 5: World of Wheels, Bayside Expo, Dorchester Mass
Jan 19: Auto Swap Meet, Big E, W Springfield Mass
March 1: Speedway Expo, Big E, W Springfield Mass
April 10 - 13: NER SCCA School & Regional, NHIS, Loudon NH
Aug 22 - 24: Summit Point, W Virginia
Aug 30 - Sept 1: Barber Motorsports Park, Alabama
There will be more to come later. Plus I still have the Protege to do some circle
track with.
Nov 25, 2007,
The season is over, and I finally got the Protege page updated. There are more pictures and an in-car video
from the Howler race.
Since my last news update, I've been a bit busy. Sept 8 I raced at NHIS, Sept 9 I attended Jed and
Kelly's wedding and DIDN'T race at NHIS, Sept 23 attended a Mopar show in Salisbury MA, and Oct 28 (after a rain delay of
a day) I raced in the Halloween Howler. I still have a lot of updating to do as far as stories and reports go, but hey, I'm
working on it.
Happy Holidays to everyone!! Be safe.

Another day, another cool show! Today was and annual Calef's Old Truck Show in Barrington NH. Calef's
is Calef's Old Country Store. A nice little store that's been in Barrington for a long time. According to someone in the store,
this was the biggest turn out for trucks and people since they started doing thie show. I only took 520 pictures in the 4
hours I was there. I know, I know, I'm a slacker.
Here's the link to them:
Enjoy!
Aug 18, 2007
I spent the day at New England Dragway. I know, I'm NOT a drag racing fan, but
it was Fun Ford Weekend there. They have cars that show as well as race. I did watch 3 races, all bracket. Only so much 1/4
mile straight line racing I can take. I did manage to take pictures of the cars showing:
I also got a couple new Ford Racing hats as well as a Speed TV hat.
Aug 14, 2007
Ok, I raced a month ago at NHIS. The car didn't handle the way I wanted, and I ran in the 1:20s.
We had some newbies come by to crew (and get 'hooked'). Dan took 1300+ pics.
The 1st 1000 pics are here:
and the rest:
Saturday I killed a front left tire from the suspension 'cavitating' and the race was in the rain
on Sunday (in-car video on the pic/vid page).
I'm too lazy to type up a race report this time. My next planned race is at NHIS Sept 8. Sept 9 I
have a wedding to attend (yeah, some nerve having a wedding on one of my race weekends), so I'll only be on the track in the
AM if I'm in race groups 1 or 2.
July 5, 2007
I'm finally back from my trip to Ohio. I spent almost a week with my friends Bree, Brian and Bella
while I also raced at Nelson Ledges. Needless to say, the racing was a 'survival' event. The track was a challenge.
Pictures from the weekend are here:
I'm downloading videos from NHIS a couple of years ago to the Google Video site. I'll also have
them here on the Photo & Video Page. Right now I still have to download the Nelson videos onto the computer, then edit them, before they
go on-line.
June 27, 2007:
Well the truck is packed and the racecar set for my 1st trip to Nelson Ledges in Garrettville OH.
I got a 4 wheel alignment for the racecar (1st one in about 6 years) yesterday at Town Fair Tire in Salem NH. A special thanks
goes out to the guys there.
Last week the new Leer cap went on the truck. Now I have a nice secure place I can leave my race
related stuff all season. No more packing and unpacking the tow vehicle. Which is nice since my next race is 2 weeks after
this one at NHIS.
I'll try to throw an update on here after Saturday's race sessions.
June 1, 2007:
I'd like to thank Kevin Berquist of Tri City Line-X. He stayed open late to accomidate me and get
my Line-X spray on bedliner in yesterday. Anyone looking to get Line-X can contact Kevin at: 603.742.9800
His shop is located at:

May 28, 2007:
A new page has been added; the Protoge' page. Here you will see the car I'm racing in the Halloween
Howler this October be built. The car was donated by Jed Greeke and Kelly Thompson.
