Why Mobile and other Questions

Mobile dog grooming is growing in popularity for many reasons:

  • Less Stress - Dogs are looking out the window to their homes and neighborhoods while being groomed .  Dogs stay more relaxed during grooming.
  • Personalized Care -Your dog will be pampered, receive one-on-one attention.  Special care is taken for individual needs.
  • Cageless - Dogs do not spend any time in cages.  Dogs are hand dried ( no drying cages)
  • Less Time at Groomers - grooming takes between 1-2 hours, no time spent waiting for you to pick them up.
  • Saves Time - No driving to and from the groomers several times.

How Long Does it Take? On the average, between 1-2 hours. Large Dogs with very longs, matted, tangled or dense undercoats, as well as styles reuiring more detailed hand scissoring or clipping work, will take longer.

Is it more expensive?  Typical mobile grooming is about $20 higher than at most salons.  Mobile grooming is a specialized service and may not be for everyone, many people find it is well worth the extra money for all the benefits.

Do I have to be There?   I prefer the owners are there for at least the first grooming and then can be left accessible on subsequent visits, as long as the dog will allow me to take him from your home.

How often should my dog  be groomed?  usually between 4-8 weeks, depending on the breed and the individual condition. Some dogs have lower maintenance requirements. Some dogs lifestyles require more frequent groomings.  I will be happy to recommend a grooming schedule best for your dog.

My dog has lots of mats and tangles, what now?  Some mats can be combed  or worked out.  Severe mats can cause skin irratations such as hot spots, dermatitis, sores and other problems.  Dogs with sever mats may need to be shaved down.  If problems are found, you will be notified and advised to see the vet.  In some rare cases, severely matted dogs may be turned down for service.

How Do I make an appointment? Call me at 508-341-8387.  I will ask some questions about your dog.  Please call in advance, as I could already be  booked for the time you desire.

Do you turn away any pets?  My biggest concern is the safety of your pet and myself.  If certain procedure cause your pet too much stress,  I will discontinue that procedure and proceed with other portions of the grooming process.  I reserve the right to refuse to service overly agressive dogs.
