I have just returned from my week of TAS CPE training in Jacksonville, Florida. It did not start out promising as I was caught in a thunderstorm waiting for my shuttle to the airport, my luggage was overweight ( had to pay $25 extra), and my left hand was hit by a cart while going through security. It still hurts a lot and my typing is difficult. I did not bring my good camera and used my wife's small Pentax Optio 555 for my photographs shown on this site. Barbara and I attended a great picnic hosted by the Air Mobility Command, Detachment 1, 305th Aerial Port Squadron on July 23 at Fort Meade. The picnic was held at Pavillion 3, Burba Park on a great summer day, hot, but with just enough wind to fly unit memeber's family kites. Ed Coates finally do it! Retired after 39 years withe the IRS. His party at the Fountaine Bleu in Lanham on July 15 was a smashing sucess. Check my photoshows page and see the photoshow!

We are all saddened by the horrific bombings in London on 7/7. Our prayers go out to the victims. Barbara and I had visited London last summer and traveled London in their buses and subway (the Tube). I have included a photoshow of our visit to the great city in my favorites section. A tribute to a wonderful city which will not bow to these cowardly terrorists.
