“Hail to the Deadskins”

Hail to the Deadskins,

No victory.

We can’t score touchdowns,

We just take the three!

Run or pass and score, we need a lot more,

Portis doesn’t practice ‘cause his foot’s sore.

Gripe on, gripe on ‘til Vin-ny’s gone

Shame in Wash-ing-ton

Boo, Boo, Boo!

Hail to the Deadskins,

No victory.

Let’s grab Dan Snyder

Hang him from a tree!

Our New Mexico Vacation Cont....
Today, Barbara and I visited the TAS office in Albuquerque, New Mexico where I distributed some Cds and photographs to the staff. They were a great group and they I can see why this state is called the Land of Enchantment if they mirror the population there. We visited the History Museum and other parts of Old Town and saw the movie , " Adrenaline Rush..the Science of Risk." Very appropriate.
Enjoy some of the photos I have taken on this page and in other areas of my site. When the vacation is ended, I will create a musical photoshow of our vacation.

Our New Mexico Adventure-The Land of Enhantment
We arrived at Albuquerque on Saturday August 27 at 10am MT after riding on Delta airlines since 6:00am EST, a flight a little more than four hours. We had reserved a rental car with navigation and it was a breeze to get to our Best Western Inn hotel. Our room has high speed internet so we are able to show you photos of our vacation soon after we take them! Enjoy!

IRS Material has been pulled...
I was informed today that the IRS ( i.e., I was given a Counsel memo) wants me to pull all IRS photos from official functions...that includes CFC. They were concerned that my personal web site was sanctioned by them and therefore could endorse Simple Star. In addition, some people were offended by some of my photos. So you will see no more IRS activities or photos of official functions on this site. Sorry for any problems I have caused. But....don't dispair..I am going to New Mexico soon and will hopefully have some really stuff to show you all!

Images of Annapolis
Barbara and I had a fun day in Annapolis on Saturday, August 20 with great weather and some nice friends..Sandy and Wade. For all you land lovers out west, Annapolis is home to the naval academy and has some great boating and seafood...( though I am allergic to all of it!) We ate at Pussars right on the waterfront and where Barbara took a lot of photos with her mini Pentax Optio 555. It also has a movie mode, but that uses a lot a memory and the videos are a bit grainy.
The stills and video clips so make a nice photoshow together and we look forward to our trip to New Mexico next week to try this out in great detail! Click on the show here or at my favorite photoshow page!

Bowie Baysox and the Boy Scouts!
Eldo Brown invited Barbara and me to join him and boy scouts (and their families) from Mowatt Methodist Church Boy Scout Troup 746 watch the Bowie Baysox play the New Britain Rock Cats on August 21. Great game..a grand slam home run by our team and a 8-4 win. Sorry, we missed the fireworks at the end, but Monday was a work day...Watch the action by clicking on the Baysox photoshow below or on my favorite photoshow page.

Donate items to CFC Campaign 2005
I am helping out with the online CFC-IRS auction for 2005. Take a look at my last photoshow and other photos on my site to see what we are looking for our charity auction. If you have any items you wish to donate contact me at stevebarbara@verizon.net and, if used,  they will be in a photoshow at the end of the campaign in December. I will also tell you how much was bid for it. CFC is a good cause and it helps many people in need. The official opening of the auction for online     bidding is on October 5 at cfc.web.irs.gov . (But this site can only be accessed by IRS computers.)

Photoshow update
I am trying a new photoshow version from Simple Star. I had a few problems getting it up and running, but I think I have gotten the hang of it . For photoshows specfically for the IRS, I will have to use the old version, since the agency's computer security does not allow to view the newer version.   I have done one already....go to my favorite photo shows and look at the last one. The show is sample of CFC online auction items, past and future. The new version photoshow has a "watch" on the link instead of a "view" like in the older ones. Send me an e-mail via contact me and tell me what you think....

Starting CFC Campaign 2005
Yep..it's that time already....The CFC 2005 team is off and running, preparing already for the 2005 campaign. I will take photographs like last year, but not as many. But I will be working on the CFC Bay ( on- line auction at cfc.web.irs.gov ) again this year. There will be some great stuff again for you to bid on ( any IRS emloyee) and you are encouraged to submit your own items for the 2005 charity bidding. (proceeds to CFC, of course) The auction site begins in October, so start searching for those nifty items now. To see my photoshow from the last year's campaign click on the link above or go to my favorite photoshow page.
