Halloween Coming!
This is my favorite time of year! We have our one big party on Halloween...the Saturday night before Treat or Treat that
is. It is a special day for me...I throw away the frustrations of work and finances and go all out to have fun for me
and my friends. We purchase a big deli platter from Giant and everyone chips in to bring all sorts of delicious desserts and
special foods. We also decorate our whole house with Halloween figures and art. And the kids love seeing my famous
HO train scenes with games and prizes for finding the most items on the set. Take a look at some of the Halloween photos
from previous years.....It is a Boo-tiful sight!

What an honor!
Last Thursday I had the priviledge of meeting Justin Frank at the Barnes and Nobles bookstore in Georgetown. He wrote
the excellent book, "Bush on the Couch," and talked a bit about it at a "meet the author" session at the book store. I had
purchased the hardback edition earlier ( before the election ) and he was promoting his new edition with an added epilogue.
He autographed both copies for me! This book is a must read!

A tribute to the great city of New Orleans
New Orleans has been subject to so much devastation and misery. We see the horrible photos and videos almost every day.
I decided to take some of the photos of New Orleans I took in 2002 while on a week's vacation and put them in a photoshow
to show what was, and what can be again.....Germany and Japan had to rebuild their entire countries after WWII....New Orleans,
with the help of the rest of us can rebuild too...and even be a better place!

New Mexico PHotoshow
I put together our first try at a photoshow from our New Mexico trip. The laptop (in our hotel room)can not do as well
as our home desktop due to memory constraints, but I wanted to try anyway. Our next photoshow of our trip will include animations
and humor ( a sensitive word around my work place) but let me know how you like it! Click on the link above or go to my favorite
photoshow page. ENJOY!

The New Mexico Adventure Continues
We have met some really nice people here in Albuquerque ( hey, I can even spell it without looking now!) and have
helped a few ourselves. Yesterday we were at a gift shop in Old Town and a clerk asked me where I worked...when I said TAS,
he told me that even though he was the custodial parent and the IRS had frozen his account and refund, not letting him take
an exemption for his kid. I referred him to the the local TAS office. And today, a man and his wife ran out of gas near our
hotel and I got him a gallon of gas to get him on his way. We had a nice trip on the Sandia Peak Tram yesterday and got lots
more photographs of our trip. And took a peek in the Indian Cultural Museum where the lady who sold us our ticket was from
Rockville, MD!
