“Hail to the Deadskins”

Hail to the Deadskins,

No victory.

We can’t score touchdowns,

We just take the three!

Run or pass and score, we need a lot more,

Portis doesn’t practice ‘cause his foot’s sore.

Gripe on, gripe on ‘til Vin-ny’s gone

Shame in Wash-ing-ton

Boo, Boo, Boo!

Hail to the Deadskins,

No victory.

Let’s grab Dan Snyder

Hang him from a tree!

Memorial Day Picnic at Eldo's!
On Sunday, May 28, Eldo Brown invited us to a picnic at his home on Hilside Drive in Greenbelt. My father, Dottie, and some neighbors and friends joined us for a picnic that even Eldo's dog Bailey enjoyed. No photoshow for this event, but you can see some of picnic photos on one of my recent photos web pages. Click on link at left.

Andrews AFB Air Show
My 80 year old father and I went to the Andrews AFB Joint Services air show on May 20.  We had to take bus shuttles to the event; the public was not allowed to drive on the base. It was a perfect day...we got there at noon, but left early before the Blue Angels did their performance. Hope you enjoy the photos! James Swartz Performs in Middle School Concert
My nephew James played the violin in the concert orchesta of Eastern Middle School ( MD) 2006 Spring Concert on May 16. Michell Baran was the Instrumental Director and his orchestra played "Pirates in the Caribbean".  See the photoshow via the link above or in my photoshow page. It is so important to support musical education in schools!

Leaving Legislative Affairs
On May 1, l officially left my detail in Legislative Affairs (IRS) and returned to my original position as program analyst in Taxpayer Advocate. I leave Legislative Affairs with a sense of sadness; the people there were a terrific bunch; there was a sense of comradie there that was missing in TAS. The previous Friday LA gave me a great good-bye party ( my detail was supposed to be 2 months; it lasted for 6) which included delicious desserts, thank you presents including a Senate sweater and picture frame, and just a great day for me that I will never forget.
