CENPENN BEACHCOMBERS

Founded in 1982, our club is a group of seashell enthusiasts and collectors in the Susquehanna Valley region of Pennsylvania, between Philadelphia and Harrisburg.

We promote the study of mollusks, shells, and shell collecting.

We provide financial support to the local North Museum of Natural History and Science in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and to the Bailey-Matthews Shell Museum in Sanibel, Florida.

We also support natural resource conservation and are members of the Lancaster County Conservancy. And we contribute to the Grants to Malacology of the Conchologists of America

Membership in the CenPenn Beachcombers is open to anyone interested in shells and shell collecting. Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every other (even) month at the Elizabethtown Community Center, Park & Poplar Streets, Elizabethtown, PA at 7:30 p.m. Elizabethtown is midway between Lancaster and Harrisburg. Visitors are welcome.
