All along an unmarked trail off of the Catoctin trail, there are several large rock outcroppings as you make your way
toward "Salamander Rock" and the "Lookout Tower." It's hard to capture in a photograph, but the colors of the rocks,
the lichen, and the trees - both fallen and live - blend to form a visual symphony.
