I often bring a small thermos of coffee with me and take time to sit on large rocks and enjoy the woods. Here again,
in the northern edge of Gambrill Park, the Catoctin Trail follows a spring-fed creek for a mile or more down a wooded valley.
Can you hear the gentle gurgling of the water's flow?
As I sat, sipped and listened, I lifted my camera to my eye and suddenly saw the smooth texture of this tree trunk, repeated
